Spring Equinox

March 20, 2014 is the Spring Equinox. It is happening at 9:57 AM. On the equinox, night and day are exactly the same length worldwide.

The March equinox occurs the moment the sun crosses the celestial equator. On any other day of the year, the Earth's axis tilts a little away from the Sun. But on the equinox, the Earth's axis tilts neither away from nor towards the Sun.

Daylight Savings Time
